At the Motor Works, our technicians have been working on European cars longer than any independent shop in Winston-Salem. All are ASE-certified and two are certified master technicians.  They stay up-to-date with the latest in automotive technology by regularly attending technical seminars offered by the industry’s leading professional organizations.  

Your vehicle is packed full of technology. And understanding how that technology works, and how to repair it, requires access to lots of information. The Motor Works subscribes to several online information services that provide the latest repair information for your vehicle. These services also provide software updates for your vehicle's computers.

First Quality, Brand Name Parts

You can rest assured that maintaining the reliability and safety of your vehicle is our top priority. And using the right parts is critical to that goal. We source our first-quality, name brand parts from the same companies the vehicle manufacturer uses. If BMW or Mercedes won't use it, neither will we.

In a very few instances we feel we can provide a better part than was originally used on your car. Brake pads are one of those. If you are tired of dirty, dusty front wheels on your car, we have a solution. We started using low-dust ceramic pads on our own cars. And we were so pleased with the results we started offering our customers these premium pads. Prices are slightly higher, but seldom more than $30 more. Dusting, noise and pad life are all much improved. If you prefer the original pads, we can provide those too.

Your vehicle was designed to last for a very long time. And it will continue to provide reliable safe and service if you choose the right shop to service your car. An experienced, dedicated mechanic, using replacement parts of the highest quality, will keep your car running reliably and help maintain its value.

Dealing with an independent business also has significant advantages when it comes to service and flexibility. For example, if you should need a major component, like an engine or transmission, we will be happy to consider a used part.
