The Motor Works Eco Friendly - Green

All of us at The Motor Works are dedicated to reducing our environmental footprint. Here are some of the efforts we’re making to protect this planet of ours:
We are a NC State Emissions Inspection Station so we can help reduce the tailpipe emissions of our customers’ car.
We capture all waste oil, antifreeze, transmission and power steering fluids for recycling and remanufacture. We re-drain all fluid containers overnight to capture as much of the fluid as possible.
Oil filters are drained and returned to recycler for total oil recovery and recycling of metal components.
We recommend the use of synthetic oils with extended oil change intervals to reduce the amount of waste oil and the number of dirty oil filters.
All steel and aluminum parts removed from vehicles are separated for recycling.
All alternator and starter cores are returned to manufacturer for reconditioning.
Air conditioning refrigerants are captured and filtered for re-use.
All old tires are recycled through NC state recycling program.
All batteries are recycled.
Cardboard, plastic, glass, paper, magazines and newspapers are all recycled.
When available all fluids are purchased in re-useable bulk containers.
We properly dispose of all used fluorescent tubes.
We use 24/7 time clocks on all furnaces and lights.
As the old units fail our HVAC units are being replaced with high-efficiency dual fuel units.
All our direct mail pieces are printed on recyclable paper.
Growing use of electronic communication with our customers.
The bottom line is that we do whatever we can to reduce our impact on the environment.
